Daniel was born and raised in central North Carolina. After high school, he moved to the mountains, where he studied science in business administration at Appalachian State University. Daniel then spent nearly two decades as a law enforcement professional, in various roles including, clandestine counter-drug operations, major crime investigations, Special Incident Response Team, Specialized Weapons Instructor, and as a sniper. During his career, he achieved his Master Law Enforcement Certification and was awarded the medal of valor, two meritorious achievement awards, and multiple unit citations. Upon leaving public service, Daniel began a new career in manufacturing program management, sales, and plant management.

When Daniel is not working, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and son, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
